The All-Round Talent

As specialist for "serious every-day biking", we have always been committed to the concept of a compact long recumbent bicycle with front wheel steering.

Out of this conviction, we developed our atl, the every-day recumbent, during the last millennium: now as then the standard for all all-purpose bicycles which have to hold up under daily use.

As early as 1994, the atl officiated as European champion among the multi-purpose "bike-mobiles". Nor do we want to hide our interest in promoting freedom from "auto-mobiles": the very first consequential reaction to environmental, energy, economic and political ("No Blood for Oil") discussions.

At first glance, the atl may appear rather unspectacular. Its exciting qualities are not immediately evident. We are often asked about the "advantage" of this bicycle. And indeed, there are many.

The atl offers a balanced compromise of all the qualities which a bicycle must possess to have an all-round utility. In fact, it is unbeatable in the sum of all these qualities.

Even on inclines, the atl is proverbially "faster than it looks" while being comfortable, loadable, very safe and maneuverable. In combination with its "shark" variable outer covering, it is useable under any weather conditions ­ a year-round pack-donkey racing bike, best suited for the needs of commuters, for winding through city jungles, or as a true traveling companion.
